The LORD Exalts the Humble

¹Hallelujah!Give praise, O servants of the LORD;praise the name of the LORD.

²Blessed be the name of the LORDboth now and forevermore.

³From where the sun rises to where it sets,the name of the LORD is praised.

⁴The LORD is exalted over all the nations,His glory above the heavens.

⁵Who is like the LORD our God,the One enthroned on high?

⁶He humbles Himself to beholdthe heavens and the earth.

⁷He raises the poor from the dustand lifts the needy from the dump

⁸to seat them with nobles,with the princes of His people.

⁹He settles the barren woman in her homeas a joyful mother to her children.Hallelujah!

Praise the LORD from the Heavens

²Praise Him, all His angels;praise Him, all His heavenly hosts.

³Praise Him, O sun and moon;praise Him, all you shining stars.

⁴Praise Him, O highest heavens,and you waters above the skies.

⁵Let them praise the name of the LORD,for He gave the command and they were created.

⁶He established them forever and ever;He issued a decree that will never pass away.

⁷Praise the LORD from the earth,all great sea creatures and ocean depths,

⁸lightning and hail, snow and clouds,powerful wind fulfilling His word,

⁹mountains and all hills,fruit trees and all cedars,

¹⁰wild animals and all cattle,crawling creatures and flying birds,

¹¹kings of the earth and all peoples,princes and all rulers of the earth,

¹²young men and maidens,old and young together.

¹³Let them praise the name of the LORD,for His name alone is exalted;His splendor is above the earth and the heavens.

¹⁴He has raised up a horn for His people,the praise of all His saints,of Israel, a people near to Him.Hallelujah!

Let Everything That Has Breath Praise the LORD

¹Hallelujah!Praise God in His sanctuary.Praise Him in His mighty heavens.

²Praise Him for His mighty acts;praise Him for His excellent greatness.

³Praise Him with the sound of the horn;praise Him with the harp and lyre.

⁴Praise Him with tambourine and dancing;praise Him with strings and flute.

⁵Praise Him with clashing cymbals;praise Him with resounding cymbals.

Sing to the LORD a New Song

¹Hallelujah!Sing to the LORD a new song—His praise in the assembly of the godly.

²Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;let the children of Zion rejoice in their King.

³Let them praise His name with dancing,and make music to Him with tambourine and harp.

⁴For the LORD takes pleasure in His people;He adorns the afflicted with salvation.

⁵Let the saints exult in glory;let them shout for joy upon their beds.

⁶May the high praises of God be in their mouths,and a double-edged sword in their hands,

⁷to inflict vengeance on the nationsand punishment on the peoples,

⁸to bind their kings with chainsand their nobles with shackles of iron,

⁹to execute the judgment written against them.This honor is for all His saints.Hallelujah!
